Green Technology is delivering jobs

In 2009 one million people have worked in the environmental technology sector.
According to EWEA the wind industry Germany creates a total of 84 000 jobs, of which 38 000 are directly attributable to the production (Germany Trade & Investment: 2009, p.3)

From 2004 to 2008 the number of jobs in photovoltaics in Germany rose from 6.500 to almost 50.000 ( BSW-Solar:05/2009a p.1 et seq)
In 2008 more than 25.000 employees were employed in the solar sector. (DCTI, 2009)
